Holiday Celebration
Posted: Nov 8, 2011

Join the City of Fennville in an all-day Holiday Celebration Saturday, December 3, 2011.  The Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce, DDA, and Fennville Arts Movement are joining together to provide a day of fun activities for all ages!  Stroll around downtown and vote on your favorite window decorations at several of the businesses; boxes will be placed within each participating business for the public to cast their votes.  The business with the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Prize Package.  Purchase your Christmas tree from the Boy Scouts of America Troop 2 (9a-5p), or stop by the Fennville District Library from 10a-noon for some holiday crafts.  Meet some of the area’s fine artists and see their work at the Holiday Art Hang located at Salt of the Earth from 11a-3p.  This event is put on by the Fennville Arts Movement and offers free admission, appetizers, cash bar, and a chance to meet the artist, or purchase pieces from local artists.  Are you wondering what to do with all those ugly Christmas sweaters?  Come on down to Steven’s Hotel from 3p-5p and participate in the Ugly Sweater Contest, the ugliest sweater will be awarded a prize!  The day of fun will conclude with the parade at 5p (lineup at the Elementary School at 4:45) with a prize package for voted best float, a tree lighting ceremony and caroling at 5:30, and pictures with Santa and a coloring contest at The Children’s Museum of Fennville at 6p.  Winners of the coloring contest will be awarded Hop N gift certificates.

Join the fun in downtown Fennville, shop locally for some of your holiday needs, and participate in fun for the whole family!  For further information or questions, please e-mail, or visit, or
