Posted: Nov 21, 2011

Fennville, Michigan, November 21, 2011 — The Fennville Arts Movement has planned a local art showcase for December 2 - 4 as part of Fennville’s Holiday Celebration, which takes place on the 3rd.  Holiday Art Hang is happening at Salt of the Earth and features an opening reception, with participating artists in attendance, on Saturday December 3 from 11am – 3pm. The pubic is invited to attend this free reception and enjoy an afternoon of local art, food and holiday music with The Bluecoast Quintet.

“We have seventeen diverse local artists participating in this showcase and encourage the community to stop in during the reception and get to know these wonderful artists.  There is a lot planned for the Fennville Holiday Celebration and we feel strongly that Holiday Art Hang is a great addition to the festivities.” states Fennville Arts Movement co-chair Casey Boeve.

Holiday Art Hang, which is being sponsored by the Fennville DDA and Chemical Bank, will be showing from December 2-4, with the artist reception taking place on Saturday December 3 from 11am – 3pm at Salt of the Earth.

The Fennville Arts Movement was formed by the Downtown Development Authority in the spring of 2010 with a goal that by promoting the arts in Fennville they would be able to aid in the growth of the downtown and make the area a destination spot for locals and visitors alike.  By thinking outside the box they hope to encourage creativity and inspire the community to become involved with the arts.
