As always,
the New Year tends to inspire a fresh outlook on life. Resolutions are made, old habits are
(hopefully) dropped, and the hope of success is glimmering in every eye. No matter the reason for success, it is nice
to feel supported within one’s community.
If you are a business owner in the greater Fennville area, think about
how the Greater Area Fennville Chamber of Commerce can be a support to you. The
Chamber exists to advance the commercial, industrial, civic, and general
interests of the City of Fennville and the surrounding community.
By
joining the Greater Area Fennville Chamber of Commerce, local businesses are
set up for success. The Chamber helps businesses network with and promote other
Chamber members. Members do business
with other members. With the product or
service you have to offer, you will more than recover the cost of your annual
dues with increased sales from networking with other members.
The
Chamber also helps promote your business through the Chamber website. Your business listing will include contact
information and a link to your website.
Ad space on the website is also available for an additional fee. Likewise, your business and events can be
highlighted in monthly news articles and featured on the website. Press releases can be sent out to media
contacts, events posted on the community calendar, and business news can be
included. Other membership benefits
include promotion through community events like Tuesdays in the Park concert
series, the Goose Festival and other events, brochure display at many
establishments in town, an advertising discounts.
Yearly
membership is $80; membership for multiple business owners is $80 for the first
business and $40 for the second. Apply
online at www.greaterfennville.com, or contact info@greaterfennville.com for
other options.
Membership
renewal letters will be sent out February 1, 2012, and are due February 28,
2012. Renewal applications can be found
on the website. In addition, members are
invited to attend the Annual Banquet and meeting, held Saturday, January 28,
2012. The banquet is a chance for
members to come together to enjoy a delicious meal, and to socialize with one another. Each year at the banquet, the Chamber
recognizes an individual(s) from the Greater Fennville community and is
presented the Robert Hutchinson Citizen of the Year Award. The Business of the Year award is also
presented at the banquet.
This
New Year, consider adding a membership to the Greater Fennville Area Chamber of
Commerce to your resolutions; a very attainable resolution with a great
success!
